Dr. Tracy Wong is a conductor, educator, singer, composer, and choral lover. She specializes in creating workshops that focus on the choirs' development in our global community. For Europa Cantat Junior 2023, she will share with us: Beyond borders - merging voice & movement! In this atelier, we will explore choral art that creates a unique and positive impact on the global community. This is your opportunity to be a part of the World Premiere of new choral compositions by Asian Canadian composer-educators, created just for Europa Cantat Junior 2023! We will discover cultures, languages, and human experiences through exciting music with movements by these diverse choral composer-educators, for diverse choral singers like you! Let's move and sing, and make history together by moving voices beyond borders!

Conductor
Dr. Tracy Wong hails from Malaysia and is a choral conductor, music educator, composer, vocalist, and pianist. Dr. Wong is passionate about helping choral educators to provide unique experiences for their students through collaborative commissions, customized workshops, festivals, and artist residencies. She does this by focusing on the balance of performance practice considerations, vocal and acoustic explorations, and choral artistry and heart.
Currently residing in Ontario, Canada, Dr. Wong is the Assistant Professor of Choral Studies at Western University, where she conducts Chorale and Les Choristes ensembles. She also serves as the Conductor of the Grand Philharmonic Youth Choir in Kitchener, Ontario.
